Snow White: The Fairest of Them All (2002) DVD

There is no more beloved fairy tale than the legend of the beautiful young girl fleeing her home because of a jealous stepmother. More breath-taking that any previous interpretation of this timeless Brothers Grimm tale, and with dazzling special effects, Snow White: The Fairest Of Them All is a magical adventure on a truly epic scale. Wonderfully acted and cleverly scripted, this modern re-telling introduces such classic elements as Snow Whites miraculous birth and the mysterious reason why her father remarries after his wife s death. Miranda Richardson is Queen Elspeth, the beautiful yet vain stepmother whose desire to be the fairest of them all ultimately leads her to conspire to kill any rival to the title. Kristen Kreuk is Snow White, the winsome young princess, forced to run away into the forest where she finds protection and shelter with a band of peculiar little men. Re-imagined for a new generation, Snow White: The Fairest Of Them All is a fairy tale like no other.
